The painting that I did was in acrylic.  I did Monet's painting called Bridge Over a Pound of Water Lilies.  The medium that I used is acrylic paint.  I liked doing the impressionistic style in this painting through using acrylic paint.  It let me do a ore painterly style, allowing me to get to know the style of Monet which I liked.  I didn't really like the amount of time it took me to just get down the base details of this painting.

During my creative progress, I did many base coats and layering colours to achieve what the painting looks like in the photo that I used.  I first started off  by doing a layer of olive green over top of the white base coat that I first did when I started painting on my record.  From there, I started to layer the details over top of that layer of olive green.  This made my record look alike to the photo of the painting by Monet that I did. I choose to do the portion displayed on my record because it had alot of detail within the painting and I thought it would challenge me.  The colour sceme that I used adds to the painting because it expresses alot of happiness and inspiration through the colours that are used in the painting.   The style of the painting adds to the mood and feelings reflecting from the painting because it has a painterly style adding to the feeling of happiness that is displayed in the painting.
